3D Glo ATP HTS Viability Assay Kit

The 3D Glo ATP HTS Viability Assay Kit analyzes cell viability by measuring intracellular ATP, a direct marker of metabolic activity. Minimal endogenous luminescence in mammalian cells allows the assay to achieve exceptional sensitivity across a broad dynamic range, making it suitable for tasks such as quantifying viable cell numbers, monitoring proliferation, or evaluating compound cytotoxicity.

The assay uses a chemically and thermally stabilized luciferase that oxidizes D-luciferin in the presence of ATP, producing light. An optimized lysis buffer protects ATP from rapid degradation, so the resulting luminescent signal remains stable for more than five hours and stays linear over three to four orders of magnitude. This long-lasting signal eliminates the need for onboard injectors and fits seamlessly into high-throughput screening workflows that process plates in either continuous or batch mode.

Storage

For long term, store components at -20 °C. Protect from light. Kit components are stable for at least 1 year from date of receipt when stored as recommended. 3D Glo ATP Buffer can be stored at 4 °C or room temperature for up to 48 hours without loss of activity.

Reconstituted 3D Glo ATP Assay Mix (Buffer plus Substrate) can be stored at room temperature for up to 3 hours or at 4 °C for up to 24 hours with about 5% loss of activity.
