BlueSlick™ is a non-toxic glass treatment reagent used to prevent gel adhesion to glass plates in electrophoresis applications. It serves as an alternative to silane-containing products and is non-irritant to the eyes, allowing safe handling outside of a fume hood.
It is suitable for use in a wide range of electrophoresis techniques, including DNA sequencing, SDS-PAGE, and IEF PAGE, and does not affect electrophoretic separation performance.
The product is supplied as a ready-to-use reagent in a safety spray bottle made of polyethylene (PE) and is free of propellant (CFC). Each spray dose dispenses approximately 0.7 ml of BlueSlick™ reagent.
A single application of BlueSlick™ coating is sufficient for approximately 3 to 4 electrophoresis runs, providing effective and convenient glass surface treatment.
