Horizontal precast polyacrylamide gels (PAG layer 300 µm), size 125 × 125 mm, designed for isoelectric focusing (IEF). The ultra-thin gel layer ensures short focusing as well as staining and destaining times, while providing high resolution and sharp band definition.
The gels are cast on a stable, inert polyester support film, which allows easy handling despite the thin layer and protects the gel matrix from mechanical damage such as tearing.
A thin protective cover sheet (GEL-FIX™™ for covers) prevents the gel surface from drying out and provides protection against damage during storage and handling.
